Offer history is context, not a forecast. Compare the bonus, spending requirement, time window, annual fee, channel, and eligibility language from the same dated observation.
Watch for unlike offers
A points bonus plus a temporary travel credit is not directly comparable with points alone. Targeted, referral, branch, and public offers should be labeled separately. Observation dates also differ from issuer-announced expiration dates.
Use a conservative value
Value only the rewards and credits you can reasonably redeem. Never create unnecessary spending or carry interest to earn a bonus.
