10 Under-the-Radar Credit Cards and Benefits to Know

The most interesting card benefits often hide outside the usual airport-lounge conversation. Some of these products reward crypto, some solve a single travel problem, and one is not a card at all but a benefit attached to an existing Bank of America account.

That does not make them secret shortcuts. Niche products are more likely to involve a waitlist, paid membership, volatile rewards, or a product-change path the issuer never promises. Here is what is real, what is conditional, and what to verify before acting.

1. Coinbase One Card

Coinbase advertises tiered Bitcoin rewards of 2% to 4%, based on assets held at Coinbase, plus 5% through its travel portal. An active paid Coinbase One membership is required, and gambling is explicitly excluded from rewards. Crypto rewards fluctuate and may create tax consequences when sold. Official Coinbase terms.

2. Gemini Credit Card

The no-annual-fee card currently advertises 4% crypto back on gas, EV charging, and transit on up to $300 of monthly spending in that category, then 1%; dining earns 3%, groceries 2%, and other qualifying purchases 1%. Rewards arrive as crypto, so their dollar value can move after they post. Gemini’s current card page.

3. GBank Visa Signature

This card is discussed for eligible gaming transactions, but card acceptance does not guarantee a purchase treatment or rewards. Gambling-related transactions can be declined, excluded from rewards, or treated as cash-like. Obtain written issuer terms before using any credit card for gaming, and never gamble with borrowed money.

4. Rakuten-linked rewards

Portal rewards can stack with card rewards when tracking succeeds, but the discontinued Rakuten Visa should not be presented as a currently available card without a live issuer application page. Treat Rakuten primarily as a shopping portal and verify exclusions, return adjustments, and payout timing.

5. Booking.com cards

Travel-site cards can reward portal loyalty, but compare restricted credits and portal pricing with booking directly. Hotel elite benefits and direct-booking flexibility may not apply.

6. Nibbles card

Fintech cards can change issuers, waitlists, rewards, or availability quickly. We do not recommend applying until a current cardholder agreement and issuer page can be independently verified.

7. Bank of America Museums on Us

Eligible Bank of America and Merrill cardholders can receive free general admission at participating cultural institutions on designated weekends. Participation, dates, and exclusions vary; check the current location map and bring the required identification and card. Official museum finder.

8. Bilt cards for rent and mortgage

The old Wells Fargo-issued Bilt Mastercard is no longer the current product. Bilt’s newer card lineup has different fees and earning mechanics, including housing-payment options. For example, the $95 Obsidian card describes rent and mortgage rewards subject to its current terms. Official Bilt Obsidian page.

9. Hilton Aspire annual free-night reward

A Hilton free-night reward can occasionally replace a four-figure standard-room night, but “worth $2,000” is an anecdote, not a reliable valuation. Search dates you would really travel and compare the award with a refundable cash rate. On longer points stays, eligible Hilton Honors members can also receive every fifth night free on a standard-room reward. Hilton’s fifth-night rules.

10. Ritz-Carlton card product changes

The Ritz-Carlton card still has an official benefits site, including an annual award capped at 85,000 points and a $300 airline-incidental credit. What Chase does not publish is a promise that a particular Marriott card can always be converted after one year. Treat that route as a cardholder-reported possibility, ask Chase about your account, and do not apply for another card solely because you expect a later conversion. The practical takeaway

A niche card is worthwhile when you can explain its job in one sentence. If the case depends on crypto appreciating, a portal always being cheapest, or a future product change, it belongs on a watchlist—not in an application.
